Privacy Policy

vgarage is a personal vehicle manager with OBD2 diagnostics, made by Xiyro. It has no accounts, no analytics and no tracking. Xiyro runs no server that receives your data, so we don't collect, sell or share personal data.

Everything you enter stays on your device: vehicle details (nickname, make, model, year, VIN, license plate, color, mileage), photos you attach, service records, fuel or charging entries, and your settings (units and currency).

To read live data and trouble codes, the app connects over Bluetooth to an OBD2 adapter that you choose. Readings are shown on screen and are not stored or sent anywhere. On Android, Bluetooth scanning is not used to determine your location.

Service reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No notification service run by us is involved.

• File export: you choose where the backup file is saved.
• iCloud Drive (iOS): if you turn it on, the app writes backup files to the app's folder in your own iCloud Drive and reads them back when you restore.
• Google Drive (Android): if you connect it, the app writes backup files to a folder in your own Google Drive and reads them back when you restore. The app can only see files it created itself (Google's drive.file permission). We can't access them.

Backup files are not encrypted by the app. They contain your vehicle data, including VIN, plate and photos. Anyone with access to the file or to your cloud account can read them. Apple and Google handle that data under their own privacy policies.

vgarage's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data from Google Drive is used only to create, list, download and delete the backup files you ask for, never for advertising and never shared with anyone.

Delete a vehicle in the app to remove it and its records. Uninstalling the app removes all data stored on your device. Backup files in iCloud Drive, Google Drive or anywhere else stay until you delete them there: in iCloud Drive under Files › iCloud Drive › vgarage, in Google Drive in the vgarage Backups folder. On Android you can also remove the app's access in your Google Account under Security › Third-party apps & services.

vgarage is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone.

Diagnostic readings can be inaccurate, especially with low-cost adapters. Use the Live screen only while parked. Clearing trouble codes erases freeze-frame data and resets emissions readiness monitors, so a car may not pass an emissions test for a few days of driving.
