vgarage connects to Bluetooth Low Energy ELM327-style adapters. Classic-Bluetooth-only adapters can't be used from iPhones, and very cheap clones are sometimes unreliable. If your adapter won't connect, unplug it and plug it back in, turn the car's ignition on, and try again. You can explore the Live screen with simulated data, no adapter needed.

Clearing codes turns off the check engine light but does not fix the cause, so the light comes back if the problem is real. It also erases freeze-frame data and resets emissions readiness monitors, so wait for a few days of normal driving before an emissions test. Only use the Live screen while parked.

Open Settings (gear icon on the Cars tab). You can export a file, or back up to iCloud Drive on iPhone and to Google Drive on Android. Backup files use the same format on both platforms, so you can move your garage from one to the other by restoring the file.

Not by the app. They're protected by your iCloud or Google account. Keep exported files somewhere you trust.

Yes. In Settings, pick metric or imperial units and your currency. Your data is stored consistently, so switching never changes your records.

Delete vehicles in the app, or uninstall it to remove everything on the device. Backups you made stay in iCloud Drive or Google Drive until you delete them there. Details are in the privacy policy.
